Sloan Laurits (born 1980 in Connecticut, USA) Lives and works in Forest, Belgium. In 1986 he found skateboarding and in turn punk rock and rap music. His education came through Thrasher magazine, local hardcore shows, and Public Enemy. Sloan moved to NYC in the 1990’s where he began his career in the content creation industry. In 2020 after the birth of their first child Sloan and his family moved to Europe where he continues to work. Sloan’s work has been commissioned by clients worldwide including: Interview magazine, Louis Vuitton, W magazine, Nike, Vogue Ukraine, Richard Chai, CR Fashionbook, Fiorruci, Museum Magazine, Tim Coppens, The Last Magazine, ReDone, Esquire, Hunter Boots, V magazine, Opening Ceremony, Elle, Delvaux, and others. Sloan is represented by W/M Management in Milan, Italy.
Sloan’s first solo exhibition of photography was held at the Freehand hotel in Manhattan July 2019. His work has been featured in the group shows: “NY4PR” Soho, NY. Nov 2017; “Real Fashion Photography” Ringling Gallery, FL. Mar 2019.
